“It doesn’t matter how hard you can hit, but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward!”
The quote above is from Rocky Balboa - 2006. He was talking to his son, and the son was blaming him for all the misfortune he had to go through because of his dad. That kind of attitude is not how you get ahead in life. Rather than blaming everyone and everything around you for your current situation, you need to accept responsibility for the cards life dealt you and think of a way to use them as best you can. Here’s an example: you got bullied in school. Now, you can go through life feeling sorry for yourself and beating yourself up because you got picked up, or you can accept that people did pick on you, but the way you feel about it is totally under your control and you are gonna harness the hurt they put you through and use it be tougher and smarter than they ever could be. You know the saying, no pain no gain? It’s 100% true! But only if you let it. You need to make sure that all the pain you go through is teaching you something that will prepare you for other trials you will face later in life.
I’ll leave you with this Les Brown quote: “when life knocks you down make sure you land on your back because if you can look up then you can get up!”
